【星動計劃】- Chill Talk:「疫情下不同照顧者的需要及支援服務」

Invitation to Join Safer Internet Day 2022 – Media Literacy and Online Safety 101

With the development of Smart City Blueprint in Hong Kong and driven by the epidemic in recent years, the internet has further become an essential medium for the public to obtain information, communicate, shopping, etc. In 2021, the household broadband penetration rate had reached 96.1% meanwhile the citizens spend increasing screen time with averagely above 4 hours every day, and mainly surfing on the social media. However, are they capable to act wisely on the internet flooded with information? Today (February 8, the 2nd Tuesday of February every year) is the International Internet Safety Day (www.saferinternetday.org). Every year, “WebOrganic” from “HKCSS-Information Technology Resource Centre” launches various thematic activities to promote the positive use of the Internet to the public. This year, with support from Google.org, Google’s philanthropic arm, “WebOrganic” will continue to co-work with different social service units and schools to organize “Media Literacy and Online Safety 101” with a series of community and school activities ...

Invitation to Community Support for Carers: “Call for Ideas” Programme

(Final Call: the application deadline is 11 February, 2022) The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) and PolyU Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation (JCDISI) co-organise the “Community Support for Carers” Programme. The programme is under Season 13 of PolyU Jockey Club “Operation SoInno”. All Agency Members are cordially invited to participate in the programme. In realising innovative ideas, we aspire to improve carer’s situation and build a more carer-friendly community! 6-9 teams will be selected to participate in a total of four sessions of co-creation workshops, in which JCDISI would provide design thinking training and professional support. Throughout the workshops, selected teams would verify their ideas and modify the action plan. The organisers (HKCSS and JCDISI) will further select 3 outstanding teams to enter the Action Project stage.
