As a Pakistani born and raised in Hong Kong, Samia has never considered herself any different from other locals. She attended mainstream local schools and “even dream in Chinese”. Despite her different appearance, she has always regarded Hong Kong as her home.

This sense of belonging is shared by many ethnic minority communities. Through Samia’s story, we encourage people to transcend the distinctions of “you” and “me”, go beyond labeling to create authentic bonds. Let’s truly understand one another to build an inclusive and diverse Hong Kong.
