Funded by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s Anti-epidemic Fund, The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (The Council) has initiated a “Professional Traineeship Programme for the Ethnic Minorites” to nurture a pool of young EM professionals in the social service and business sector. There will be 24 trainees deployed to 6-24 NGOs and 16 trainees to 8-16 business companies. Trainees’ salaries and MPF costs will be reimbursed by the Government between September 2022 and August 2023.

NGOs interested to recruit and nurture trainees can refer to the Programme Factsheet and submit the application form between May 12 and June 12, 2022. Interested Ethnic Minorities can apply for the traineeship program between May 31 and June 20, 2022, the job advertisement will be released in late May 2022.

In anticipation of more Ethnic Minorities joining the teams, there will be a “What a multi-cultural team!” sharing session to enhance the NGOs/company’s competence in multicultural management, and to engage the sectors to make a successful multi-cultural team. Details are as follows:
