Last year, the Council’s Executive Committee decided to enhance our governance and strategy in Policy Research Advocacy through formation of 3 Task Forces to work on 3 strategic research and advocacy agenda, namely poverty and basic income protection, health and housing of the grassroots, and aging population and society. These Task Forces are expected to be set up after the Council’s Annual General Meeting in 2021. I write to cordially invites Agency Members to nominate representatives to join the Task Forces.
The nomination process shall commence immediately upon the issue of this memorandum. The closing time for nomination is 5 pm on September 10, 2021(Friday). Please find attached the Terms of Reference of each of the 3 Task Forces and the Nomination Form. Please refer to the Procedure of Nomination for details about how you should make your nomination and how nominations received will be processed. For EACH of the Task Forces, each Agency Member may nominate no more than ONE member from their organization.
Please note that Agency Members have already been requested to verify the names of their Official Representatives and types of services their agencies operate. To provide accurate membership information for reference for making nominations, the most updated Membership Register & List of Official Representatives of Agency Members is posted on the Council’s website. The Membership Register & List of Official Representatives of Agency Members shall serve as the basis for verifying eligibility of Official Representatives and Life Members with regard to their nomination. If any discrepancies are found in the published Membership Register & List of Official Representatives of Agency Members, please notify the Council in writing for amendment as soon as possible.
