Operation Santa Claus (OSC) is an annual charity campaign established jointly by the South China Morning Post and Radio Television Hong Kong in 1988. It is dedicated to cultivating a spirit of giving, love and care throughout Hong Kong. Over the past 36 years, it has raised over HK$396 million for over 364 charity projects in Hong Kong.
We are now calling for a new round of funding proposals.
To better identify and align with OSC’s mission to support smaller charities, an organization will be eligible to apply if it
- Is a non-profit charitable organisation registered in Hong Kong and exempt from tax under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance.
- Has a current Certificate of Incorporation.
- Does not receive Social Welfare Department major subvention allocation
- Does not exceed in the previous financial year annual expenditure of HK$15 million.
- To encourage collaboration, applications requesting HK$600,000 or above are highly recommended to include at least two organisations working together. The other organisation(s) can be a charity, social enterprise or private company.
Maximum funding amount:
- HK$1 Million per project

Submission method:
All applications must be submitted online at https://osc.scmp.com/proposalform. Please fill in the online proposal in English (unless specified), and submit it together with necessary documents.
Selection Process Timeline:
Finalists will be invited to present their projects to the OSC Selection Committee in August, and application results will be announced in January 2026.
