According to the Companies Ordinance in Hong Kong, a company, including one that is limited by guarantee, must have a company secretary. In fact, company secretaries have crucial role to play in supporting the entities, whether for profit or not, to uphold good governance standard for long term development. To promote sound practices in this regard, the Council has tailored a series of interactive workshops for those in our sector who have to undertake company secretarial duties but without related professional background. Details of the program are as follows:

Workshop 1: 
Value of a Sound Governance Structure
Workshop 2: 
Roles and Functions of the Company Secretary
Workshop 3: 
Basic Compliance Duties of the Company Secretary

Date: 7 January, 21 January & 11 February 2022 (Friday) 

Time: 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Quota: 30 participants 

Language: Cantonese (materials in English)

Fees: HK$150 per person for 3 workshops

The workshops will be conducted online via Zoom.

Target participants: Board / committee members and concerned staff of HKCSS Agency Members incorporated as limited companies (only for those without related professional training)

Interested parties please register online on or before 3 December 2021 (Friday). Successful registrants will be notified by email with payment details by 8 December 2021 (Wednesday). Please note that the quota is not transferrable and the fee paid is not refundable.
