To ride out the current difficult times with grassroots community, Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA) will donate HKD10 million to the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) to support families in Hong Kong who have recently become unemployed or underemployed as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 1,250 households will each receive a one-off subsidy of HKD8,000. The subsidy payment will be made in about a week after the application approved via Faster Payment System to ensure that households can receive funds in an easy and timely manner to address their pressing needs. Each eligible individual will receive a one-off subsidy HKD 8,000. The subsidy payment will be made in about 3 days after the application approved via electronic transfer system to ensure that households can receive funds to address their pressing needs.   Target: Self-employed youths or freelancers aged 35 or below (preference will be given to those who are 18-35), and mainly for applicants living in Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung and Sham Shui Po Districts.
