In time of unpredictable COVID-19 epidemic, disadvantaged groups are always in lack of prevention resource. The social welfare workers are working hard altogether to acquire social resources to support the people in need, e.g. elderly, children, youth, grassroots families, people with disabilities, ethnic minorities, unemployed.
With the support from foundations and business sector, HKCSS has coordinated with over 350 social welfare organizations, self-help groups and grassroots groups on distribution. As of early April, we have distributed 3.55 million masks and 549 thousand materials to over 783,000 persons & families.
Furthermore, HKCSS has produced the “Anti-COVID-19 Information Portal” https://ac19.hkcss.org.hk , which currently contains more than 300 anti-epidemic information provided by more than 90 social welfare organizations and civil society for public reference.
