The Hong Kong Council of Social Service is organising the 7th Care Food Cooking Competition. The competition aims to demonstrate the ways to modify the favourite foods into Care Food for individuals with dysphagia (swallowing challenges), enabling them to enjoy their favourite dishes at home.
This year, the competition is open to foreign domestic helpers, the participation and support from their employers are most welcome as well.
Information
Target: Foreign domestic helpers
Content: Under the theme “The Flavour of Memory”, contestants are required to submit a recipe and modify a dish favored by individuals with swallowing difficulties into a Care Food recipe after completing the training. The cooking methods are not restricted, and share the story behind it.
Competition format: Finalists will attend the workshops, pre-competition practice, final and award ceremony

Due Date: 6th July 2025 (Sunday) 5 p.m.
Submission Methods: Fill in the online application form before the deadline, or email the completed application form to [email protected], and attach photos/videos to introduce the dishes

All you need to do is to submit an application form, share your recipes and stories with us, and you will receive rewards if you are selected as one of the finalists:
- Cash allowance of HK$1,800
- Prizes valued HK$1,299 (German Pool Korean Detachable-Handle Pan & Pot Set)
- Employer Incentive: Employers who nominated their domestic helpers will receive a “Proactive Employer Support” certificate and a cash allowance of HK$500 if their helper is shortlisted into the final round.
- Workshops and pre-competition practice opportunities with professional sharing and coaching on Care Food related knowledge and skills
- Opportunities to be awarded with other special prizes
The first 15 successful contestants* will receive a HK$100 supermarket voucher
*Successful contestants must complete and submit the required information in the application form, subject to the receipt of confirmation email from the organizer.
