The COVID pandemic has resulted in a change in consumer buying behaviors. A growing awareness of public health and hygiene has led to a higher acceptance of electronic payment by the customers. Besides, the government has announced to issue $5,000 electronic consumption vouchers to each eligible Hong Kong permanent resident in order to revive the local economy. It is perceived that the demand for electronic payment services will further increase.

To strengthen the competitiveness of SEs, SEBC has invited EFT Payments (Asia) Limited (‘eftPay’) to introduce their one-stop electronic payment services and their preferential package to be offered. The eftPay’s integrated payment solution supports various major electronic payment gateways and methods, including contactless credit cards, tapping stored value cards and scanning QR-Codes. At the same time, eftPay will also share the preferential package to SEs during the briefing sessions. Details as follows:
