This year, The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), in partnership with HKEX Foundation, has set up the HKEX Impact Funding Scheme (the Scheme) for the first time. With a grant of HK$10 million, the Scheme supports non-subvented local charities to run community projects focusing on the four themes of HKEX Foundation, i.e. Financial Literacy, Diversity and Inclusion, Poverty Relief and Environmental Sustainability, and with the overall aim to facilitate the society and the needy to recover from Covid-19 and adapt to the post-Covid world. In addition, the Scheme also aims to promote the use of technology and innovation to address social and environmental challenges of the society.

 

The Scheme will be open for applications from 5 July to 11 August 2021. Joint applications by eligible organisations are welcome.

 

Eligibility

  • Agency member of The Hong Kong Council of Social Service;
  • Charitable organisations registered under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap 112); and
  • Organisations that do not receive government’s regular subvention (Except the funding for project-based services and services awarded by the way of bidding).

 

Fund Size

The fund size for each proposed project should range from HKD500,000 to HKD1,000,000.

 

Duration of Each Project

The duration of each proposed project should be between 12 to 18 months.
