The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) champions evidence-based research for policy advocacy and service development. In the past years, the Council has organized conferences and workshops related to research and advocacy, aiming to encourage the social service sector to share evidence-based practices to drive service development. In response to rapidly evolving social needs, HKCSS is launching the ” Data Analytics to Drive Organizational Transformation and Service Development” Practical Workshop series. This initiative aims to assist organizations in cultivating a forward-thinking mindset, leveraging the power of data and technology to achieve organizational transformation and service optimization.

The first workshop of this series will be held at The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong (BGCA). As a pioneer in digital transformation, BGCA successfully initiated its digital transition with high-level support from management. However, the true challenge lies in the alignment of “people” and “environment with digitalized change.” This workshop is part of the Council’s programme to nurture mutual-help environment in the sector through the sharing by BGCA colleagues on data-oriented digital transformation in her workplace. During an on-site visit, it is expected that participants could obtain some wisdom to face transformational challenges through understanding some organizational features of digital transformation including workplace environment, digital policy, collaboration and communication across different units, and some device features.
