The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) has been paying attention to the mental health of working adults. Lately, the Council has recently published the Policy Bulletin Issue 40 “Where is the Inclusive Safety Net for the Workplace Mind?”, which extensively explore the physical and mental stresses faced by working adults in Hong Kong and the existing service gaps.

Through the publication of the Policy Bulletin, we hope to promote in-depth dialogue among different sectors, including social welfare, healthcare, religious organizations, labour groups, arts groups, to jointly explore how to build a more supportive workplace mental safety net for the wider employee community.

To further consolidate wisdom and strength across different sectors, HKCSS will hold a co-creation workshop in October, titled “Building a Mental Health and Safety Network for Working Adults Across Sectors.” The workshop will bring together people from sectors such as healthcare, religious groups, arts groups and labour groups to share their observations regarding services related to working adults and their mental health needs. In the discussion session, participants will explore future cross-sector collaboration, envision more innovative services tailored to the needs of working adults, and help establish a more comprehensive community-based mental health protection network for them.
