Poverty has always been a prominent issue in Hong Kong society. With the appointment of the new-term Government and Commission on Poverty, the society is currently reviewing the ways in which the poverty line is to be defined and re-formulating new directions for poverty alleviation. On 17th October, the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) is organizing the “Imagining a New Approach to Poverty Alleviation in Hong Kong” seminar.  We would like to invite all stakeholders who are interested in promoting poverty alleviation, providing a platform for these stakeholders to exchange experiences and collectively explore new possibilities.
