HSBC Hong Kong Community Partnership Programme 2024 – Application will be open soon!

Application period:
From 1th March to 12th April 2024

With the funding HKD18 million from The Hongkong Bank Foundation in 2024, the HSBC Hong Kong Community Partnership Programme (CPP) continues to drive innovative district-based initiatives to disadvantaged groups, fostering community growth, cooperation with social inclusion and building a sustainable and resource-efficient future.

  • Support innovative district-based community initiatives across 18 districts in Hong Kong, help disadvantaged communities build resilience and become future-ready and promote green thinking and sustainable living.
  • Funding focuses: Youth or Elderly, and their carers. In addition, cross-generational inclusion initiatives are welcome.
  • Innovative projects with the following characteristics will be prioritised:
    • Enhancing direct service for disadvantaged groups

    • Collaborating with social enterprises

    • Promotion of volunteering (including volunteers from HSBC)

  • Donation for each project ranging from HKD200,000 to HKD700,000; Project duration up to 12 months.

Applicants must be non-profit organisations registered under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap112) for at least 3 years. Applications from individuals and commercial ventures will not be considered.

Capacity Building Workshop 2024

To inspire organisations to develop innovative community projects with aligned strategy and mindset, we are organising the following Capacity Building Workshops inviting representatives from HSBC, local charities, and academic advisors to share ideas and insights, please enroll and attend at least one workshop.

The Capacity Building Workshops are now open for enrollment, and refer to details as follows.

1st Session: Sharing session – From Vision to Action: Building Sustainable and Impactful Community Projects
With the invaluable insights shared by Professor Chiu Chi Yue, Dean of Social Science and Professor of Psychology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, you will gain practical approaches and tools to effectively plan and present your project ideas. Learn how to articulate the expected social outputs and outcomes of your initiatives through storytelling, enabling others to visualize the positive changes you aim to achieve. This event will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to create meaningful and impactful community projects. Don’t miss the chance to get inspired!

2nd Session: Discover and Take-Action Training Workshop – Adapting Sustainability and Green Practices in Social Services and Proposal Ideation
Explore the adaptation and localisation of sustainable practices in Hong Kong along with global sustainability trend in 2024, with a particular emphasis on vulnerable groups. The discussions will work around with practical exercises and hands-on examples, try to revolve around the challenges faced and the importance of building resilience for creating a more sustainable future together. The workshop would also discuss the sustainability strategies in the daily operation and integrate sustainability elements into programme design to achieve a sustainable service model.

3rd Session: Discover and Take-Action Training Workshop – Hong Kong Financial Wellness Education and its Adaptation with Social Services
By combining information sharing and idea transformation, this workshop aims to uncover the intrinsic link between Social Services and Financial Wellness Education. It will explore Hong Kong’s financial education framework and the financial issues faced by the elderly and youth, prompting the design of tailored interventions. Participants will also learn how to leverage resources and tools to address the needs of beneficiaries. 
There will also be Design Thinking exercises, hands-on examples, and coaching sessions to facilitate the idea development process. Come and brainstorm new ideas with us!
