Due to aging population in Hong Kong, the public concern over the issues of elderly care, caregiver support, end-of-life care, and arrangements after death is growing. To help the public discuss and plan for life more effectively, the Hong Kong Council of Social Service has compiled a list of life and death education and life management events to be held during the period of 25th of October to 9th November, and is promoting the “Compassionate Fortnight 2025” with multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
As part of this initiative, the HKCSS is collaborating with M+ and St John’s Cathedral in promoting life and death education in different ways. M+ will invite the public to appreciate art, guiding them in their future choices, while St John’s Cathedral will invite participants to tour their historical site that has witnessed life and death of people of generations, sharing how the church and spiritual support the end of life.
