As Hong Kong moves towards a super-aged society, there is a growing demand for elderly care, carer support, end-of-life care, and post-death arrangements. To encourage the public to proactively explore and plan for life, as well as to deepen understanding of its various stages, the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), in collaboration with cross-sector stakeholders, will promote the ” Compassionate Festival 2026″ from mid-October to November.
As part of the festival, HKCSS will organize a Signature Day featuring Market & Exhibition. By focusing on the needs of carers at different stages of their caregiving journey, service organizations are invited to exhibit, display, or sell services and resources corresponding to these stages. This initiative aims to enhance the public’s death literacy by encouraging individuals to understand their own and their family members’ life planning.
We cordially invite agency members to actively participate as exhibitors. If your organization provides relevant services and wishes to join hands in promoting a “Compassionate Community” and participating in the ” Compassionate Festival 2026″, please complete the attached application form.
As booth space is limited, and to ensure the exhibition comprehensively covers the essential needs of carers across different stages, HKCSS will form a vetting panel and selection mechanism. Details are as follows:
