In recent years, due to impacts of Covid 19 and the legislation of advance medical directive, there are more life and death education and the promotion of advance care planning in the community.  The sector is also developing community-based end-of-life care services.  Last May, the Council organized a delegation to join the 8th International Conference on Advance Care Planning and visit related service organizations in Singapore in order to learn from the experiences of other countries in developing advance care planning, and community care service.

To nurture the development of advance care and life planning at the community level, the Council is going to organize the “Community Life and Death Education Design Workshop cum Report on the 8th International Conference on Advance Care Planning and Singapore Study Tour”.  Delegates including Ms. Leila Chan, Mr. Yu Lok Tin, Eric and Mr. HO Chun Kit, Charles will be sharing Singapore’s and other countries’ experiences in developing advance care planning and related care services. Moreover, Prof. CHAN Yue Lai, Helen is invited to share her view on the implication of Singapore’s advance care planning development to Hong Kong.
