In this year, 3,697 companies and organisations were awarded the Caring Company logos/ Caring Organisation logos, 6% increased over last year. The Caring Company Partnership Expo was held on 16 March, more than 110 NGOs and social enterprises exhibited in the Expo. Around 4,000 people from business and social welfare sectors participated to learn about the latest development of social welfare and to explore the opportunities of cross-sector collaboration. New element this year, Social Need X-perience was set with 4 zones, e.g. through virtual reality (VR) to experience a child who lives in sub-divided unit & mental health patient.  「長者」與「玩具」，彷似兩個風馬牛不相及的詞彙；但當長者及護老者遇上被標籤為「小朋友玩意」的玩具，他們又會有甚麼體會？玩具對他們心身又會有甚麼幫助？ 香港路德會社會服務處助理服務總監周潔芯表示，很多長者自覺缺乏身邊人的支援，看不到有人跟他們一起遊玩及分享快樂，因此難免會感到孤獨。 有見及此，香港路德會社會服務處自2013起推出「腦玩童俱樂部」預防長者腦退化玩具圖書館，以玩具作為介入的手法，嘗試把玩具融入到長者的娛樂及訓練當中。除了在玩樂過程中訓練長者的腦筋外，同時亦拓展他們的社交生活。此計劃成效超卓，更榮獲【卓越實踐在社福2017】的創意獎。 「腦玩童俱樂部」參加者任伯指，他在兒時沒有機會玩玩具，現在可以有機會嘗試，覺得它們很新奇。他亦坦然參加計劃前的生活並不如現在快樂，現透過計劃，他可以與別人談天說地，互相捉弄對方，覺得很開心。 任伯的太太，同時身為照顧者的任太亦指，計劃能使自己放鬆心情，毋須整天考慮生活的煩憂。「如果只有我們兩人在家中，時常要照顧他及整天考慮要做的事情，令自己整個人也很緊張。帶他回來中心玩，他在玩一樣玩具，我在玩另一樣玩具，忘記要照顧他的問題，整個人感覺放鬆了。」任太說。 周姑娘表示，透過計劃，他們觀察到在遊玩的過程中，長者與年青人一樣喜歡玩耍，渴望玩耍；喜歡勝利，不介意與朋友一起輸掉遊戲。這些都是不論年紀，「玩樂」是所有人都需要的價值觀。而計劃亦令他們注意到，遊玩的價值原來的確非常重要。 ...

 「照顧家人感到十分吃力，當時只可以容易自己『倒下』了，吃力到不懂照顧自己，只顧做好照顧者的責任。不知如何是好，照顧者是沒有醫生看的。」癌症病人的照顧者及香港復康會義工雷白玉說。 香港復康會社區復康網絡 (康山中心) 副經理馬麗霞形容，由一日三餐，以至簡單護理、服藥、覆診及出街等，照顧者的工作好像是沒有休息時間。照顧者每日都需要做，又不可以停頓的工作，她亦觀察到許多照顧者在體力及情感上都已經透支了。 因此，香港復康會舉辦「SmartCare有您友里」照顧者支援網絡計劃，在醫院轉介，社福機構支援及義工配對之下，為港島區長期病患者的照顧者送上關懷。計劃同時獲得【卓越實踐在社福2017】的十大卓越服務獎。計劃除了社工及專業醫護人員，對病人進行評估及支援之外，照顧者的同路人支援亦十分重要，由過來人做義工，體諒及支援照顧者的身心需要。 需要照顧中風姐姐的Raymond及其太太美玲表示，初初家人對中風「零的知識」，腦海中只得一百萬個為什麼，對中風及日後的照顧問題感到徬徨，但不想姐姐入住安老院舍，最後決定接姐姐回家居住，學習如何照顧中風病人。在香港復康會的協助下，姐姐參與中心的復康訓練及興趣班，Raymond及美玲同時參與了中心的照顧者興趣班，紓緩照顧壓力的同時，可以問同路人的照顧心得，一舉兩得。雷女士指，照顧者參與興趣班時，照顧者們可以「吐苦水」，分享照顧過程中遇到的問題，因為他們都是同路人，體諒對方的壓力。 ...
