Operation Santa Claus 2025: Funding Application Opens on 2 June

Operation Santa Claus (OSC) is an annual charity campaign established jointly by the South China Morning Post and Radio Television Hong Kong in 1988. It is dedicated to cultivating a spirit of giving, love and care throughout Hong Kong. Over the past 36 years, it has raised over HK$396 million for over 364 charity projects in Hong Kong. We are now calling for a new round of funding proposals. To better identify and align with OSC’s mission to support smaller charities, an organization will be eligible to apply if it Is a non-profit charitable organisation registered in Hong Kong and exempt from tax under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. Has a current Certificate of Incorporation. Does not receive Social Welfare Department major subvention allocation Does not exceed in the previous financial year annual expenditure of HK$15 million. To encourage collaboration, applications requesting HK$600,000 or above are highly recommended to include at least two organisations working together. The effectiveness and sustainability of services strongly rely on how well organizations can navigate resource constraints while delivering high-quality outcomes.
