The 79^th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and election of members of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee (2026-2028) of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service will be held on November 10, 2026 (Tuesday) at the Auditorium, 1/F, Duke of Windsor Social Service Building, 15 Hennessy Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong. The programme of the event is listed below:

1. 79^th Annual General Meeting 

Enclosed please find the agenda of the 79^th AGM (Appendix 1) and the minutes of the 78^th AGM (Appendix 2). In case you are unable to attend the AGM, you may consider appointing a proxy by completing and returning the Letter of Proxy (Appendix 3) to the Council no later than 2:00 p.m., November 5, 2026. Late returns of proxy forms and those submitted at the AGM will not be accepted. 

2. Election of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee (2026-2028)

The nomination for the Election of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee has been closed. Please go to the following websites which contain the List of Candidates for your reference.

As the number of candidates in the election of the Standing Committee on Social Development equals the number of its vacancies, “no election will be conducted for the committee and all candidates have been automatically elected” in accordance with the section 4.2.9 of the Election Guide and as confirmed by the Chairperson of the Election Committee. The full list of elected members for the Committee will be officially published on the HKCSS website and announced via email on November 17, 2026, together with the election results for the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee on Sector Development and Finance.

Life Members, Official Representatives of Agency Members with their names in the Membership Register as of November 5, 2026 and duly authorized proxies are requested to register at the reception counter and collect the ballots from 2:00 p.m. Voting shall commence upon declaration of the opening of the AGM at 2:30 p.m. No ballots will be issued starting from 5:20 p.m. The polling station will be closed at 5:30 p.m.

Notices on change of Official Representatives must reach the Council in specified forms no later than 2:00 p.m., November 5, 2026 so that newly appointed representatives will be eligible to vote in the Election on behalf of their agencies.

3. Result of the Election of Specialized Committees (2026-2028)

The Election of Specialized Committees has been completed. The result has been announced by email and published on the Council’s website. Please visit “Result of the Election of Specialized Committees ” for the lists of elected members of the Specialized Committees.
