Introduction
Proposal writing is a core part of securing resources and advancing services in the social service sector. For staff approaching it for the first time, becoming familiar with the local funding landscape, common concepts, and proposal writing requirements can take some time.
This workshop is designed specifically for frontline practitioners who are new to proposal writing. It starts from the basics, helping participants understand the common types of funding available in Hong Kong, become familiar with key concepts often used in proposal writing, and learn the basic structure and key elements of a proposal. The goal is to give participants a clear initial picture of the whole application process, and a more structured way to approach their first proposal.
The workshop combines concept explanation with worked examples, breaking down jargon in plain language so participants leave with practical methods they can apply directly to their first proposal writing attempt.
