「NGO Innovation Hub」Symposium: Innovative approaches and strategic responses for Community Development under the pandemic

Background:
NGO Innovation Hub is funded by HSBC Hong Kong Community Partnership Programme with the Community Development Initiative (CDI) of the Social Work Practice and Mental Health Centre, Department of Social Work, Hong Kong Baptist University as a strategic partner. The programme drives to groom NGOs with a growth mindset culture through cross learning and collaboration with the aims to promote the adoption of innovative, effective and sustainable community development model to solve community problems, and the application of International Standards for Community Development in the local context. The welfare services have been greatly affected under the pandemic, community development approach has once again become an important strategy to support vulnerable groups under difficult circumstances. Through this symposium, The Hong Kong Council of Social Service hopes to showcase how community development approach can be used as a strategy to deal with the impacts of the pandemic, and to share the practical experiences in the field.
Objective:
- Share the local Community Development works and the future expectation
- Share the practical experiences and skills of the projects of NGO Innovation Hub under the pandemic
