Assistant Volunteer Development Manager (CBG)
Job Purpose:
The position plays a key role in advancing talent development and continuous learning through the design and implementation of training and capacity-building initiatives for volunteers and staff. Working closely with internal teams and stakeholders, the incumbent will support learning programme development, training delivery and service improvement projects to enhance organisational capability. The role also contributes to strengthening learning effectiveness, volunteer development and service quality while supporting the Hong Kong Red Cross’s humanitarian mission and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement training and learning programmes for volunteers and staff
- Facilitate training sessions and ensure effective delivery of learning content
- Engage volunteers and staff to identify training needs and develop solutions
- Support research work including data collection, analysis and report preparation
- Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements to learning programmes
- Maintain quality of training content to ensure consistency and effectiveness
- Assist in implementing learning projects and training initiatives
- Support analysis of volunteer management practices and capacity development
- Build and maintain collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Participate in volunteer mobilisation and support emergency operations when required
- Support team administration and facilitate team collaboration
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or related disciplines with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Preferably with experience in training, teaching, project management or volunteer services
- Knowledge in training design, facilitation and learning programme development
- Experience in data analysis, research or project evaluation is an advantage
- Passionate in people development and continuous learning with service commitment
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Mature, proactive and able to work independently under pressure
- A good team player with strong collaboration skills
- Sound knowledge in service and project management
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of learning tools is an advantage
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
- Willing to work on weekends or public holidays when required

Contract Period: 1 year (Renewable)
