Accounting Officer II

(2-year contract, renewable) [Ref.: OU/AO/26/01]

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in month-end closing and management reporting, including preparation of monthly management reports, reporting schedules and financial analysis
  • Prepare journal vouchers, process accounting entries and perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts, balance sheet accounts and transactions across payment platforms and e-channels
  • Support annual statutory audit preparation, including year-end stocktaking and coordination of project-based and events audits
  • Assist in the preparation of organizations’ annual budget
  • Support the preparation and submission of bank administration documents and liaise with banks on account administration and related matters
  • Participate in system enhancements and internal control improvement initiatives
  • Handle ad hoc assignments and projects as assigned by the supervisor

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 3 years’ relevant work experience
  • Solid experience in accounting system
  • Exposure to management reporting, system implementation and system enhancement would be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Good interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, able to work under pressure with tight timeline
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must
