Hong Kong will implement full digital TV broadcast from 1 December 2020. To allow analogue TV households with financial needs to continue to access free TV after the switching off of analogue TV broadcast, the Digital Television Assistance Programme (The Programme) was launched in mid-January 2020. Funded by the Community Care Fund, the programme opens for application until 15 July 2021. It was implemented by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, with a total of 100 Service Units run by non-governmental organizations to assist. Each eligible household will be provided with one digital TV receiver plus supplementary on-site services.
