With the dedicated efforts of Social Welfare Department (SWD) and various sectors, the revised Protecting Children from Maltreatment–Procedural Guide for Multi-disciplinary Co-operation (“Guide”) has been in full implementation since 1 April 2020.  To facilitate our agency members to get acquainted with the revisions made, those who are now working/will work with children and families or need to know about the Guide for work are invited to join the online briefing session co-organized by HKCSS and SWD with details listed below. Invitation to ‘Evidence-based Practice Social Work Target Group Need Assessment Workshop’: ‘Caregiver of an Adult with Disabilities’

The discussion and application of Practice Research have become more popular in the social service sector in recent years aiming at understanding needs of different population group. Based on the Survey on the Quality of Life and Service Needs of the ‘Family Caregivers of Adult with Disabilities’ completed in 2019-2020, Mr Wong Wo Ping, our Council’s Chief Officer (Policy Research and Advocacy) is going to conduct the captioned workshop to demonstrate the skills in using MS Excel tool for basic data analysis to manage their own dataset including identifying caregivers’ overall profile and high risk caregiver groups, thereby strengthening the interested practitioners in evidence-based practice. Webinar – Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing for NGOs

NGOs, like the business sector, are exposed to the risks of being accused of money laundering and terrorist financing. To guard against such threats and protect their reputation, NGOs should conduct due diligence check to "know your donors", "know your partners" and "know your beneficiaries" when accepting donations and deploying resources.
