The Hong Kong Council of Social Service is committed to the promotion of service and policy development through research and advocacy. In the past years, the Council has organized conferences and workshops in the theme of research or advocacy to introduce evidence-based practice and different advocacy strategies. Through sharing local frontline experiences, we hope to promote learning transferring and knowledge in the sector.
This year the Council is initiating the 2nd Annual Conference on Policy Research and Advocacy, with the topic on Forward and Onward: Challenges and Opportunities in data science and informing social services. We are grateful to be joined by sectorial experts from local social service, public health, academia, information technology, and share of experiences on their work and future possibilities of using big data in informing social services.
