Senior Manager (Tai Po Service Point)

 

Job Purpose:

The core purpose of this role is to provide leadership in managing the service centre in Tai Po, and to facilitate capacity building and community resilience within the Tai Po community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Service Head to develop and implement strategies related to the service development of the service centre in Tai Po
  • Conduct situational and capacity analysis, proposing service planning and recommendations, in line with the agency strategic direction.
  • Lead and motivate team colleagues to engage in the development and execution of the service strategy, implementation plan, service evaluation and resources allocation based on the HKRC corporate strategy and standards.
  • Organizes services across work teams, assists in formulating and interprets agency’s policies and establishes team’s workflow and controls.
  • Supervise Manager(s) and subordinates to monitor and evaluate the implementation plan to achieve the set targets / objectives, organize necessary training for staff development.
  • Lead and guide staff in providing quality and efficient support to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including the government departments, community partners, and service targets.
  • Facilitate communication and service collaboration with strategic partners.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, or social science related discipline; Registered Social Worker (RSW) preferred
  • Minimum 8 years’ postgraduate and relevant working experience, preferably in centre-based service or community service development, in which at least 5 years at managerial level.
  • Strong knowledge in management of people, finance and resources.
  • Familiar with community and centre-based service operation and social service management.
  • Strong networking and liaison skills with government departments, NGOs, strategic partners, and the public.
  • Mature personality, strategic minded with vision, strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Excellent command of both written and oral English, Chinese/Cantonese/ Putonghua.
