Invitation to the Bootcamp II & III of ‘NGO Changemakers Incubation Scheme’ (Cohort 2)

The Council has launched the “NGO Changemakers Incubation Scheme (Cohort 2)” in April, and agency members are cordially invited to participate in the coming Bootcamp II and III. In planning and implementing services, organizations often need to apply innovative thinking and build cross-sectoral networks in order to engender greater impact. This project aims to enable NGO colleagues in "network building" and "co-creation", so as to facilitate organization’s internal development. This project used ‘Design Thinking’ as the learning framework and “Culture & Art X Social Inclusion" as the theme. Through the “Design Thinking Bootcamp II and III”, we hope to break through the participants’ cogitation through design thinking by recognizing three projects which are connecting communities through arts and culture by Make a Difference Asia and understanding the process of co-creation with various community stakeholders and artists; and how the team of Trial and Error Lab used ‘prototype and test’ in designing events and used the space in 7 years. Guiding Star Scholarship Award 2022/23 (Open for Application)

Guiding Star Scholarship Award is sponsored by Drs Richard Charles and Esther Yewpick Lee Charitable Foundation. The scholarship aims to encourage social work students of being perseverance in adversities with aspiration of serving the community and commitment to social work profession, to grant the scholarship for alleviating the financial burden of the students and to support the students in pursuing continuing education and future development. Drs Richard Charles and Esther Yewpick Lee Charitable Foundation has appointed Hong Kong Social Workers Association (HKSWA) to organize the scholarship and co-organize with The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), including the review of applications, selection of awardees and disbursement of scholarship funds. Number of Awardees and Amount of Award: There will be 20 scholarships in 2022/23. Each awarded student will receive a grant of HK$30,000. The awardee will be awarded to participate in Capacity Building Programme. # Note: The grant will be disbursed in two installments. The 2nd installment will be disbursed to the awardees with at least 80% attendance rate of the Capacity Building Programme. The Council will launch the 2nd cohort of “NGO Changemakers Incubation Scheme”, and agency members are cordially invited to participate in the coming Bootcamp I. In view of the changes of socio-economic context in the recent years, social problems have become increasingly complex. In planning and implementing services, organizations often need to apply innovative thinking and build cross-sectoral networks in order to engender greater impact. This project aims to enable NGO colleagues in "network building" and "co-creation", so as to facilitate organization’s internal development. This project use ‘Design Thinking’ as the learning framework and “Culture X Social inclusion" as the theme. Through the “Design Thinking Bootcamp I”, we hope to break through the participants’ cogitation through design thinking workshop and community visit in Tuen Mun. Invitation to Apply ‘NGO Changemakers Incubation Scheme’

The Council has launched the second cohort of "NGO Changemakers Incubation Scheme", and a briefing session was held on 3rd March. This project uses Design Thinking' as the learning framework, and through a range of activities such as 'Design Thinking Bootcamp' and the "Cross-Sectoral Internship', we hope to incubate a group of NGO changemakers'. The provision of subsidies and prototype fund encourage organizations and participants to actualize the innovative ideas. Application of NGO Changemakers Incubation Scheme: Scheduled time: April to July 2023 (Approximately 12 working days) Qualifications of Participant: Middle management staff from social welfare organizations (including social worker or non-social worker ranks) "SWD subvented social service organizations" or "non-SWD subvented social service organizations" with at least 3 years of full-time working experience. Participants are not required to work in cultural creation related services. 誠邀各機構會員參與「立志啟航」社區體驗及義工活動計劃

「立志啟航」-- 社區體驗及義工活動計劃   「立志啟航」計劃是由一名熱心公益的社會人士贊助及香港社會服務聯會(社聯)統籌,與葵涌區中學校長會及觀塘區學校聯會緊密合作,旨在幫助生於貧窮家庭而有潛能的葵涌區及觀塘區中學生,使他們建立奮發精神及力爭上游的信心,通過教育改變命運。本計劃的其中一項活動是安排學生參與由機構舉辦的不同類型活動,以擴闊視野及了解香港不同的社會服務,使他們能發揮助人之精神。  本計劃由2023年9月開始,為期一學年(2023-2024學年),並與服務葵涌區及觀塘區的社會服務機構共同合作,預計將會服務超過150位計劃學生。 活動項目 內容 一、多元化活動及工作坊 讓學生可從中培養團體合作精神及學習不同知識,讓學生發掘學習興趣和擴闊社交圈子。 二、社區體驗及義工活動準備工作坊 透過準備工作坊令學生了解義工的定義和服務內容,同時模擬不同情況,使學生可有充分準備。 三、社區體驗及義工活動 讓學生參與義工服務,從中發揮自己所長和幫助別人的精神,提升自信心。 四、個別指導及關懷 為計劃學生提供個別及小組輔導,檢討活動目標,了解學生想法和記錄需關注的事項。   本計劃即將展開2023-2024校內學年招募,誠邀機構成為合作伙伴機構之一。計劃詳情如下: 項目推行日期:2023年9月至2024年7月 (2023-2024學年) 服務區域:葵涌區及觀塘區 服務對象:葵涌區及觀塘區中學之「立志啟航」計劃學生   伙伴機構的角色及工作: 增強學生對社會議題之認識 提供機會予學生籌備項目或策劃社會服務 啟發.指導及生涯規劃輔導學生 與社聯負責職員保持緊密溝通  每間伙伴機構有機會被委託提供多於一間中學的服務。(每間學校最少5位學生,最多20位學生。學生來自中三至中六)   資助:每間機構需為上述活動一至三,各舉辦並完成至少兩次;及為上述活動四,舉辦並完成至少四次;每個完成跟進學生個案的資助額為港幣$3,000 (分兩次發放)。總資助額以累積成功個案計算。   計劃介紹  請按此   提交申請: 如有興趣成為合作伙伴機構,請填妥附件之表格,供計劃審閱及參考。請於2023年4月14日(星期五)或之前,電郵至 [email protected] 。 如未有於5月31日前收到任何回覆,則視為落選。   如有任何查詢,歡迎與本會職員聯絡: 陳先生( 電話:2876-2490;電郵: [email protected]) 或 林先生( 電話:2864-2903;電郵: [email protected] )   期待您們的參與!   按此下載通告 ...
