The J.P. Morgan Pathbuilders Program -Innovative ‘School-to-Work’ Model for Hong Kong’s Future Talent

J.P. Morgan today announced the launch of the PathBuilders Program, the firm’s latest philanthropic initiative in Hong Kong. The program, in partnership with The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), will help undergraduate students develop hands-on skills and knowledge as they transition from education into the workforce. The program will be open to Higher Diploma and Associate Degree students in Hong Kong and aim to prepare them for careers in growing industries such as aviation, finance as well as the environmental space. We would like to invite youth related Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) who can provide training solutions and job placements to apply to participate in this program. Application Details: Date of Application Application accepted from March 6 to March 20, 2024 Eligibility A tax-exempted charitable organization under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap 112) for at least 2 years; In operation for at least 2 years; Providing services in relation to youth development Funding size The funding amount for each project should range from HKD500,000 to HKD2,000,000. S+ Expo 2024 Briefing Sessions (Aug 28 and Sep 7)

The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) will hold its annual "S+ Summit cum Expo" at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 2 to 3, 2024, and invites interested organizations to attend the briefing sessions. The S+ Expo will be held on May 3 2024, which aims to encourage cross-sectoral partnership with the theme of "Co-creation". S+ Expo will focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and invite organizations to showcase and introduce innovative ideas for solving social problems, covering topics such as health and well-being, equality and inclusion, employment and upward mobility, and sustainable urban development. The conference expects to have over 120 exhibiting organizations and over 7,000 attendees. The HKCSS will hold two briefing sessions on August 28 and September 7, inviting interested organizations to attend. Event objectives, themes and exhibition requirements of the S+ Expo will be introduced. Invitation to the Closing Ceremony of ‘NGO Changemakers Incubation Scheme’ (Cohort 2)

The Council has launched the 2nd cohort of “NGO Changemakers Incubation Scheme” which is drawing to the end. We are now inviting institutions to join the closing ceremony of "NGO Changemakers Incubation Scheme (Cohort 2)". In view of the changes of socio-economic context in the recent years, social problems have become increasingly complex. In planning and implementing services, organizations often need to apply innovative thinking and build cross-sectoral networks in order to engender greater impact. This project aims to enable NGO colleagues in "network building" and "co-creation", so as to facilitate organization’s internal development. This project use ‘Design Thinking’ as the learning framework and “Culture X Social Inclusion" as the theme of this cohort. Through activities such as "Design Thinking Bootcamp" and the "Cross-Sectoral Internship", we aim to incubate a group of ‘NGO Changemakers’.
