招商局慈善基金會 – 支援受疫情影響之兒童及青少年計劃

招商局慈善基金會與香港社會服務聯會於今天完成了「支援受疫情影響之兒童及青少年計劃」的捐贈協議簽署儀式。透過是次計劃,期望可以為更多受疫情影響的低收入基層學童及其家庭提供多方面的支援,以改善他們的學習和生活狀況。本會期望與招商局慈善基金會未來有更多合作,加快社區復原,共建和諧社區。 有關是次活動新聞稿,請按此參閱。 計劃申請須知 背景 新型冠狀病毒肺炎對本港持續影響,社會經濟面對嚴重打擊,不少市民因而喪失工作或被迫停工,儲蓄用盡,仍難以維持基本生活,有孩子的家庭,隨著9月的開課日期迫近更感徬徨,除了要躊躇購買新學年書簿及用品外,面對新的上課模式,更是一籌莫展。 是次計劃,希望透過社會服務機構向有需要的兒童及青少年提供現金援助於學習外,亦希望透過機構以專業手法,因應疫情,為其服務對象,提供學習及/或情緒等支援,以滿足他們需要。 此外,是次計劃亦希望能優先協助因疫情影響營運的非政府資助機構。 計劃詳情 現誠邀請各機構就此計劃遞交項目申請書,以助因疫情影響之兒童及青少年,項目要求詳情如下: 受惠對象**: 兒童及青少年,及其家庭(以低收入家庭優先) 項目安排: 每個項目最多可獲資助港幣二十萬元 內容必須包括(1)學習現金支援,如:購買書簿,校服,網上學習裝置等 及(2)有關學習及情緒的支援服務,由機構自行決定金額上的分配 撥款中可預留不多於百分之十作機構行政費用 項目推行時間: 推行期為三至六個月(由本年9月中後開始) **注:受惠對象在過去三個月內沒有從其他資助計劃獲取財政援助 申請安排 填妥附件之項目申請書,並於2020年9月18日(星期五)下午6時正前電郵至本會(email: [email protected]) 每個項目以機構作為申請單位 合資格之申請機構將獲安排一次與招商局慈善基金會代表面談/視像會議,以便更深入了解申請項目之運作。 項目完成後,機構須在一個月內提交活動報告及財政報告。 附件 項目申請書 項目預算申請表   如有任何查詢,敬請聯絡: 陳正浩先生 (2876 2445 / [email protected])  或 陳靄芝女士 (2876 2472 / [email protected]) ...

Distance Business Programme Opens for Social Enterprises’ Application

Under the Anti-Epidemic Fund, the Innovation and Technology Commission has launched the Distance Business Programme (the D-Biz Programme) to support enterprises to adopt IT solutions to continue their business and services during the epidemic. The Hong Kong Productivity Council is the Secretariat of the Programme. All private enterprises (excluding listed companies, statutory bodies and non-government organisations (NGOs) funded by the Government [1]) with a valid Business Registration Certificate, with ongoing business in Hong Kong commenced before 1 January 2020 and substantive business operation in the industry related to the project in the application at the time of application are eligible to apply.  For social enterprises which do not have Business Registration Certificate, they can submit a Social Enterprises Certificate issued by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) under the D-Biz Programme, in lieu of a Business Registration Certificate. [1] It refers to NGO that receives funding from the Government on a recurrent basis but not one-off government funding.  The recurrent funding contributes towards the NGO's operational expenses, in exchange for its service to the public.  The recurrent funding may account for the bulk of the NGO's income or just be a token contribution/sponsorship forming a small percentage of the NGO's total income ...

Multi-cultural Practice Wisdom Forum – Building a Racial Inclusive Team in Workplace

Recently, various initiatives were implemented to “Strengthening Support for Ethnic Minorities”. Social Welfare Department commissioned NGOs to set up three Outreaching Teams for EM (OTEM). Besides, the EM District Ambassador pilot scheme will be launched in nine districts with higher EM population. The Council is going to organize the captioned event at 2:15pm on October 8 (Thursday) to share the experience of selecting and managing EM colleague and how to create an inclusive workplace. We have invited the former chairpersons of Network on EM services to share their experience in leading the diverse team with EM colleague. In view of the pandemic situation, the event will be conducted online. It is free of charge. ICSW North East Asia Regional Webinar on COVID-19: Welfare Challenges and Response

  The webinar, “ICSW North East Asia Regional Webinar on COVID-19: Welfare Challenges and Response” was organized by ICSW North East Asia Regional Secretariat on 29 July 2020. The Webinar aimed to facilitate the regional welfare sector to exchange valuable experience and new initiatives in response to the pandemic. The event was moderated by ICSW North East Asia Regional President, Mr. Chua Hoi-Wai.    Six speakers from Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan were invited to share their insights and experiences in the context of the pandemic.
