International Symposium on “Charting the Future: A Strategic Action Plan for Dementia Care” (2025.03.03)

The demand for improved dementia care is rising globally, driven by an ageing population. To address these needs effectively, there is an urgent need for coordinated efforts involving multiple sectors, including social care, healthcare, and innovation and technology. In response, the Council is hosting an International Symposium titled “Charting the Future: A Strategic Action Plan for Dementia Care”. This event will bring together international and local experts to share insights on relevant policies, research, and practical experiences. The aim is to enhance local strategies and foster collaboration with the international community to advance prevention efforts and improve the quality of dementia care. This underscores the importance of collaboration across various sectors to share best practices in social services, promote innovative technologies, and foster social cooperation to create a safe and age-friendly environment. The Council is organising an International Symposium titled “Strengthening Inclusive Communities & Age-Friendly Future for All: Champions of Change”. This event will bring together international and local experts to share policy, social care, and technological support strategies, aiming to develop a collaborative vision and actionable steps for an inclusive future. We are very pleased to inform you that the Hong Kong Council of Social Service has secured funding, sponsored by the Community Chest of Hong Kong to subsidize 9 delegates on 50% basis to attend the captioned event. Basic information of the event, the estimated expenses per delegate, subsidy application criteria can be found in the attachments. 「樂齡科技博覽暨高峰會2024」圓滿結束 各界踴躍參與親身體驗樂齡科技

由香港特別行政區政府和香港社會服務聯會(社聯)聯合主辦,並由香港科技園公司協辦的第八屆樂齡科技博覽暨高峰會 (GIES) 圓滿結束,為期四天(11月21至24日)的博覽合共吸引超過35,000人次入場親身體驗樂齡科技,邁進智慧生活。 社聯業務總監陳文宜女士表示,今次是歷屆最多參展單位及展品的一年,涵蓋日常生活不同範疇,巿民可以找到所需的科技器材和方案,親身試用,也給予展商許多產品落地應用於社區的意見。社聯將繼續推動多個樂齡科技項目,致力改善巿民的生活質素。 今屆博覽有超過220個參展單位,展出逾900款來自本港、內地和全球各地的樂齡科技創新產品及應用方案。再者,設有五大特色主題館,包括︰「長者友善城市」、「耆樂童歡 科技共融」、「遠程 X 健康新視野」、「樂齡科技應用評估」及「照護食美食廣場」,以至多個特色展區,包括「未來.『始』刻」、「租賃服務新里程」、「大學創科展區」、「線上支援服務」、來自中國內地、日本、芬蘭及澳洲的展團,全面展示樂齡科技如何融入生活每個環節,促進長者、殘疾人士及照顧者的健康與福祉。 社聯再次感謝創新科技署及招商局慈善基金會的贊助,以及社福機構、專業組織,以至眾多參展商的支持,使「樂齡科技博覽暨高峰會2024」得以順利舉行。 短片製作:Fluid Production Company ...
