The J.P. Morgan Pathbuilders Program -Innovative ‘School-to-Work’ Model for Hong Kong’s Future Talent

J.P. Morgan today announced the launch of the PathBuilders Program, the firm’s latest philanthropic initiative in Hong Kong. The program, in partnership with The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), will help undergraduate students develop hands-on skills and knowledge as they transition from education into the workforce. The program will be open to Higher Diploma and Associate Degree students in Hong Kong and aim to prepare them for careers in growing industries such as aviation, finance as well as the environmental space. We would like to invite youth related Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) who can provide training solutions and job placements to apply to participate in this program. Application Details: Date of Application Application accepted from March 6 to March 20, 2024 Eligibility A tax-exempted charitable organization under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap 112) for at least 2 years; In operation for at least 2 years; Providing services in relation to youth development Funding size The funding amount for each project should range from HKD500,000 to HKD2,000,000. Established in 2013 by Link REIT, Link Together Initiatives supports eligible charitable organisations to implement innovative projects across three focus areas: Environmental Sustainability, Inclusion and Active Ageing and Youth Empowerment in the communities near Link’s properties to advance sustainable development in society. Since its inception, the Initiatives has earmarked HK$140 million to support more than 180 community projects with 16 million target beneficiaries. HKEX Impact Funding Scheme (Applicable to Local Charitable Institutions) (Applications Closed)

The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), in partnership with HKEX Foundation, has set up the HKEX Impact Funding Scheme. The Scheme supports non-subvented local charitable institutions to undertake new services/ideas or enhance their current services focusing on the four focus areas of HKEX Foundation, i.e. Financial Literacy, Diversity and Inclusion, Poverty Relief and Environmental Sustainability, serving a wide spectrum of people in need in our community and addressing social and environmental challenges of the society. Application Details Date of Application The Scheme will be opened for online applications from 1 November to 1 December 2023 (5pm). “Hang Seng Future Skills Fund” Concludes Successfully Recognize outstanding projects with special award

The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), in partnership with Hang Seng Bank, set up the Hang Seng Future Skills Fund (the Fund) in 2022. The Fund supported 8 non-subvented local charities to run community projects focusing on the future skills development in three main themes, i.e., Financial Literacy, Climate Change, and Digital Literacy / Inclusion, and other related soft skills in order to enhance beneficiaries’ individual ability to respond to the rapid changing environment. All the granted organisations have completed their 1-year projects with satisfaction. The Fund has set up "Outstanding Project Award" to select two well-performed projects in terms of Project Management and Execution, Social Impact and Impact Sustainability, and Cost-effectiveness. The award prize of HK$50,000 is expected to continue to support the project beneficiaries improve their skills and knowledge, thereby enhancing their competitiveness and be prepared for the future.
