‘Solutions Hub’ is an innovation lab that explores and experiments with new ideas. The team focuses on identifying service gaps in key areas such as active aging and social inclusion, children and youth development, and talent development. We collaborate with different stakeholders to co-create impactful and viable solutions, and use prototyping to refine the models, and eventually share the results to the relevant stakeholders.

CareFood Initiative

 

This initiative is supported by strategic partners Kerry Group and ZeShan Foundation. It offers a dignified dining solution for individuals with chewing and swallowing difficulties. Through cross sector collaboration, the team is building a Care Food ecosystem that includes developing unified Care Food Standard Guidelines, conducting research and policy advocacy, hosting various Care Food workshops, and participating in expos and seminars dedicated to Care Food.

NGO Changemakers Incubation Scheme

 

This program is supported and sponsored by our partner, Partnerships for Community Development. It aims to cultivate agency staff as “Changemaker” by focusing on human centric development through personal transformation. Participants will engage in a “shadow internship,” stepping outside their familiar roles to explore new cross sector fields. They will also journey alongside fellow cohort members to co create, build networks, and collaborate across boundaries. The program employs “Design Thinking” as its learning framework through activities such as the “Changemaker Bootcamp” and the “Cross Sector Internship Program” to incubate Changemaker in the agency.

Link University Scholarship

Established in 2015, the programme aims to reduce barriers to education by providing non-means-tested scholarships to outstanding Hong Kong students, who are the first in the three generations within their families to attend universities in Hong Kong. The scholarship grant for each awardee is HK$20,000.

J.P. Morgan Pathbuilders Program

 

J.P. Morgan launches the PathBuilders Program, the firm’s philanthropic initiative in Hong Kong. The program, in partnership with The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), will help undergraduate students develop hands-on skills and knowledge as they transition from education into the workforce.

The program will be open to Higher Diploma and Associate Degree students in Hong Kong and aim to prepare them for careers in growing industries such as aviation, finance as well as the environmental space.

MTR “RIDE TO SUCCESS” SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

 

The Programme is organised by the Corporation and co-organised by MTR Academy, with The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (“HKCSS”) serving as the Programme Consultant and Partner. As one of the celebrations of the 45th anniversary of the commencement of MTR metro service, the Programme offers a total of 45 scholarships for local students, aiming to recognise and reward students with commendable academic performance, a passion for community service, and a keen interest in the railway sector.

Ng Teng Fong Scholarship

 

Sponsored by Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation, The Ng Teng Fong Scholarship is coordinated by HKCSS to encourage less privileged students from secondary schools who excel in academics and have outstanding performance in extra-curricular activities and services for the Hong Kong community. Nominated candidates must be Secondary 4 or 5 students studying full time local secondary schools, studying with the schools located in Tuen Mun, Kwun Tong, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon City, Yau Tsim Mong, North District or Kwai Tsing.

Link 20th Anniversary

Outstanding Students Scholarship

 

Sponsored by Link and co-ordinated by HKCSS, this non-means-tested scholarship aims to recognise outstanding local secondary school students for their academic excellence and dedication to their schools and communities.

More than just scholarships, the top 100 students will able to learn more and grow through the application process from participating in workshops on “Communication and Public speaking”, “Design Thinking” and “Understanding Social Issues”. These workshops are designed to boost students’ confidence in articulating their views and to cultivate a deeper and more diverse understanding of social issues.

Hongkong Land Limited collaborates with HKCSS to launch Project Futuremark. It provides series of supporting activities for youth living in sub-divided units (SDUs) in Yau Tsim Mong and Sham Shui Po districts that aim at broadening their vision and life experiences. Education Programme for Children Living in Low-Income Subdivided Units

 

The Education Programme for Children Living in Low-Income Subdivided Units, sponsored by Marsh Hong Kong, aims to enrich the English language skills of underprivileged children living in subdivided units and encourage them to learn and communicate in English through fun learning approaches. HKCSS collaborates with NGOs and other organizations to implement the programme, which includes a series of fun English-learning activities in the Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing districts.
