Deputy Manager (Community Health Service)
Job purpose:
Hong Kong Red Cross is launching a 5-year project on Infection Control Training and Support for Sectors (the “Project”). It aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of frontline workers on infection control and prevention, as well as the capacity of managerial staff in dealing with infectious disease outbreak in targeted sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Nursing Officer (Project In-charge) in driving the smooth implementation of the Project, including but not limited to training arrangement, data management and handling, statistical analysis, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines, and preparing reports to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support the Nursing Officer (Project In-charge) in formulating and implementing the annual budget and procurement plan, ensuring sound financial governance and compliance.
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing the progress, output and outcome of project to assure continuous service quality improvement.
- Facilitate effective implementation of the Project’s impact evaluation and support course accreditation.
- Lead, develop the strategy and implementation plan for infection control promotion campaign, including but not limited to leveraging social media channels to increase sector awareness and engagement.
- Collaborate with other teams, service units and partnering organizations to achieve the goals of the project. Establish network and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders.
- Provide support for the Project audit, including preparation and coordination as required.
- Carry out other duties deemed pertinent to achieving the goals of the project as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in any discipline, preferably in social service, community health or marketing.
- At least 3 years post-graduation and related working experience, in which 2 years at supervisory level.
- Experience in managing funding projects and working in a nonprofit institution is a definite asset.
- Sound leadership and people management skills, with project team management experience preferrable.
- Good communication skills with local authorities, stakeholders and community partners.
- Good analytical, coordination and interpersonal skills, mature and able to work independently and under pressure.
- Excellent command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
Contract Period: 6 months (renewal subject to prevailing conditions and operational need.)
