Assistant Manager (Humanitarian Education & Advocacy)

 

Job Purpose:

The core purpose of this role is to execute operational duties in humanitarian education, dissemination or advocacy. S/he supports the team leaders and Head of Humanitarian Education in delivering humanitarian services according to HKRC strategies to fulfill its vision and mission. S/he will enable effective implementation of the action plan to achieve promotion of humanitarian principles and values.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize seminars, workshops, trainings programs and events on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and humanitarian agenda such as People on the Move (POM) , etc.
  • Ideation and production of training, advocacy, education and communication materials;
  • Manage the data and content related to advocacy and education for reporting and agency-wide usage to deliver humanity values and promote humanitarian agenda to staff, volunteers and the public.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, vendors and partners, to ensure quality and smooth delivery of programs and activities.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree holder, preferably in discipline of social science or communications
  • Minimum 2 years post-graduation and related working experience in education, communication, or advocacy
  • Experience in programme planning, event management, education, vendor management
  • Experience in organizing international event, exchange programme is an advantage
  • Interested in humanitarian work, value education, experiential learning, global citizenship and social development
  • Knowledge and skillset in multimedia production, social media management and marketing communication is an asset
  • Innovative thinking, flexible personality, good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good command of English and Chinese, both written and oral (including Putonghua)
