The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) champions evidence-based research for policy advocacy and service development. In the past years, the Council has organized conferences and workshops related to research and advocacy, aiming to encourage the social service sector to share evidence-based practices to drive service development.

As Hong Kong undergoes social, economic, demographic, and technological change, the sector is actively transforming to meet emerging demands. In 2026, we will hold the 6th Policy Research and Advocacy Conference, titled “People-Centric Future: Nurturing Future Readiness and Data Analytics to Drive Organizational Transformation and Service Development”. This conference will emphasize putting people first, fostering future thinking and adaptability, and leveraging data and technology to drive social and service development amidst digitalized organizational transformation.

Therefore, we have invited various guest speakers from different sectors to share their experiences at the conference, hoping to promote communication between the sectors and other sectors on the topic. After the conference, we are pleased to have Mr. Cyron Chan, Founder of Chaotic Innovation Studio, lead a workshop on ‘Future Readiness and AI Adoption Workshop’ to help participants explore and learn practical ways for the social welfare sector to collaborate with AI.

Two visits will be organized after the conference to understand how the organizations utilize data analytics to drive organizational transformation.
