Research Executive
Job Purpose:
The core purpose of this role is to provide support in areas of research, project evaluation, agency’s performance tracking and internal capacity building for planning and service development. In the meantime, the successful candidate also need to assist in the implementation and execution of the Strategic Planning and Humanitarian Diplomacy Department to enable HKRC in delivering its humanitarian services to fulfill its vision and mission. S/he will follow through the action plans to achieve evidence-based practice and quality management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the supervisor in carrying out various planning and service development-related research tasks ranging from literature review, research tools development, qualitative and quantitative data collection, consolidation and analysis
- Assist in coordinating research and evaluation projects with various stakeholders and provide logistics support as well as documentation in related activities and events.
- Assist in consolidating and analysing data to support the agency’s performance tracking and reporting efforts.
- Provide administrative support such as reimbursement, stock control, document management and souvenir production
- Other duties assigned by the supervisor as appropriate
Requirements:
- Completion of HKCEE/ HKDSE (min. 5 subjects passed including English, Chinese & Mathematics) equivalent or above, with minimum 2 years of relevant working experiences in research institution/library/resource center, OR
- Fresh/ recent university degree graduate in Statistics, Social Sciences e.g. Politics, Psychology, or related disciplines with sound exposure in social research will also be considered
- Experience in NGOs, health organization or non-profit sector is an asset
- Keen internet user with high proficiency in using Microsoft Office, e.g. Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Hands on skills in data analysis, e.g. Power BI, Python, R, SPSS is an asset
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
- Good planning, analytical and organizational skills
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, independent, and able to work under pressure
- Enthusiastic about change and equipped with a problem-solving mindset to adapt
