Assistant Manager (Projects)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Manager and/or Manager (Projects) in developing the service strategy to address emerging and changing community needs, ensuring alignment with the goals of the corporate, department, and team.
- Assist the Manager (Projects) in developing and executing the team’s implementation and review/enhancement plans to address the evolving humanitarian needs in the community, aligned with corporate service strategies.
- Responsible for conducting need assessment and impact assessment of community services.
- Plan and organize daily operations and activities.
- Monitor and analyze the progress of implementation plans and projects, ensuring quality by preparing regular reports.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with service partners, including internal departments, social service sectors, funding bodies, and members of the international Red Cross Red Crescent Societies, to secure resources and knowledge that facilitate the achievement of set goals and support the operation and development of services.
- Drive the development of community services to engage volunteers from various sectors.
- Explore new resources to enhance the programs and activities of community services.
- Supervise subordinates to complete the tasks to support the related activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any disciplines, preferably in Social Work and Social Science.
- Minimum 2 years post-graduation and related working experience in community service.
- Knowledge of humanitarian work, social development, and social needs.
- Understanding of service operations and support services for various beneficiaries, such as multicultural communities and low-income families.
- Strong communication skills with stakeholders and community partners.
- Experience in volunteer management.
- Interested in humanitarian work, value education and experiential learning
- Sound skills on presentation, copywriting, facilitation and debriefing.
- Good command of English and Chinese, both written and oral (including Putonghua)
