Joint Statement from the International Federation on Ageing (IFA)
and The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

14 August 2026 — The International Federation on Ageing (IFA) and The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) have agreed that the 18th IFA Global Conference on Ageing will not be held in Hong Kong.

The IFA and HKCSS value the longstanding relationship between our organizations and remain committed to maintaining a positive and collaborative partnership. We extend our appreciation to members, partners and the broader ageing community for their continued support.

The IFA will continue planning for the 18th IFA Global Conference on Ageing and share further details in due course.
