Senior Fundraising Officer (2-year contract, Renewable)
[Ref.: FCU/SFOPP/24/01]
Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of fundraising strategy and programmes for major giving to achieve the fundraising goal.
- Implement strategies to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major giving prospects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective major donors through personalized communication, meetings, and events. Understand their philanthropic interests and develop strategies to engage them effectively.
- Cultivate opportunities to solicit project and events sponsorship, with support from relevant programme units and fundraising teams.
- Develop and maintain donor recognition and loyalty programme. Ensure effective donor communications and reporting of OHK’s work.
- Prepare fundraising proposals and reports, presentation materials and correspondences with donors.
Requirements:
- Degree in Marketing or relevant disciplines with at least 8 years charitable fundraising or marketing experience, preferably at NGO/INGO setting.
- Proven track record in securing major gift fundings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability in networking and relationship building.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills and experienced in interacting with senior executives and business leaders.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, and fluent Putonghua.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to prioritize workload in a timely manner to complete the tasks.
- High level proficient in computer applications including MS Office and Chinese word processing.
- Familiar with the latest fundraising market.
- Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
- Candidate with less experience may be considered for the post of Fundraising Officer.
