Programme Executive (Community Resilience)
Purpose:
The core purpose of this role is to support the implementation of training, education and publicity initiatives under the Hong Kong Red Cross Community Resilience Service, aiming to enhance public awareness and knowledge of disaster preparedness. Reporting to the Manager / Assistant Manager (Community Resilience), the successful candidate will ensure the smooth delivery of public education programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support public education including but not limited to, delivering disaster preparedness workshops and public talks, roving exhibitions, mass events and other activities.
- Assist in communicating and coordinating with different stakeholders, including schools, community partners and volunteers.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, finance processing, and resource management, etc.
- Carry out ad hoc tasks and post-disaster actions when assigned by the Assistant Manager/ Manager.
Requirements:
- 5 subjects passed in HKCEE/HKDSE (including English and Chinese) or equivalent; or
- University Degree holder in any discipline
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in community education and volunteer coordination is an advantage.
- Responsible, proactive, and well organized
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
- Proficient in PC skills, including Chinese word-processing and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of design and audio-visual computer software (e.g., Canva) is highly preferred.
- The successful candidate is required to undergo the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) if it is deemed necessary according to the job responsibilities.
Contract Period: 1 year contract
