Deputy Manager (Corporate Service)

 

Job Purpose:

This position is to be responsible for the ESG and green initiatives of the Agency, collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide support related to Corporate Service functions in emergency operations for the development of sustainable organization and partnership engagement.  S/he shall also be responsible to organize hospitality visits and support the Head of Corporate Service and Senior Manager (Corporate Service) to ensure implementation and execution of action plans in a quality, efficient and cost-effective manner

 

Key Responsibilities

  • To formulate and implement workflow, guidelines, and code of practices for the development of sustainable organisation, taking references from the principles of Green Response of the IFRC and other National Societies, NGOs and Corporates.
  • To lead the implementation of sustainability development initiatives e.g. preparation of Stakeholder Engagement Survey, ESG report, conduct carbon audits and prepare reports, organize ESG forum, participate in ESG sharing.
  • To take lead and work with Green Group members and service unit representatives to formulate the year plan, prepare and monitor the budget, execute green initiatives to induce and enhance better engagement of colleagues, foster green culture of the Agency to reduce carbon footprint by setting KPIs.
  • To assist Senior Manager to formulate and implement guidelines and work manual, compilation and preparation of related reports and presentations, provide administrative and service support for Corporate Service functions to ensure sustainable operations and quality service.
  • To act as the focal person for hospitality visits, plan for visit itinerary, prepare visit materials, collaborate with different service units to arrange briefing to enhance the visitors with Red Cross knowledge and HKRC services.
  • To assist Head of Corporate Service / Senior Manager to: (a) organise and co-ordinate Agency major initiatives e.g. prepare and manage budget for the initiatives to ensure smooth running; (b) develop partnership engagement e.g. identify potential partnering organisation, networking, consolidate information and update database.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Management or related discipline  
  • At least 5 years relevant working experience, including 3 years’ experience in ESG or management field
  • Sound ESG Knowledge and solid experience in initiating Green projects, Carbon Audit, ESG reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, well organised with analytical-mind, responsible, proactive, detailed minded and able to work under tight schedule.
  • Independent, self-motivated and client oriented
  • Knowledge of operation environment and culture of nonprofit organizations
  • Flexible personality, initiative with mind-set for improving service quality, analytical thinking
  • Sound project management and people management skills
  • Excellent command of both written and oral English, Chinese/Cantonese/ Putonghua
  • Immediate available is preferred

Contract Period: 2 years

 

Work Schedule: Mondays to Fridays (44 hours per week)
