Founded in 1887, we are a non-governmental organization committed to the development and provision of quality holistic health care service to the community of Hong Kong. With a staff team of about 250 members, we are providing elderly service, chaplaincy ministry, outreaching rehabilitation service, an institute promoting holistic health and holistic care, etc. The Foundation is collaborating with The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and four NGOs, with funding provided by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, in launching a new centre for the Cancer Survivorship Project for a period of three years. Our professional staff and volunteers will provide comprehensive and patient-centred psycho-oncology interventions to improve the quality of life and well-being of cancer survivors. We are now looking for a high-calibre person to join the new centre:

Registered Nurse

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. To lead the cancer team and provide supervision for the project and staff;
   2. To provide holistic support and consultation services to cancer survivors;
   3. To organize capacity building training programmes for service users;
   4. To provide professional advice for other social worker colleagues on nursing care;
   5. To train and supervise the volunteers;
   6. To develop guidelines, clinical protocols, strategic service plan and evaluation; and
   7. Required to work irregular hours whenever necessary.

Requirements

1. 1. A Certificate of Registration (Part I) and a valid Practising Certificate issued by The Nursing Council of Hong Kong;
   2. At least 4 years of RN working experience, preferably with some experience in conducting training courses;
   3. Experience in working with cancer patients will be an advantage;
   4. High commend of written and spoken English and Chinese;
   5. Distinct attributes and abilities: supervision and coaching, analytical and logical thinking, problem solving, organizational power, attention to details, interpersonal and communication skills and work independence; and
   6. Strong ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, partners and other healthcare professionals.
