Officer, Advocacy and Community Outreach
Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF was founded in 1986 and was established as an independent non-government organization to support UNICEF’s mission. We are now seeking an Officer, Advocacy and Community Outreach to join our team to co-create a better environment for children, youth, and families!
Role and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver interactive programmes, workshops and activities for children, youth and families
- Coordinate with schools to ensure smooth programme implementation and logistics
- Deliver community and corporate programmes promoting family-friendly and child-friendly policies
- Develop and implement campaigns supporting breastfeeding-friendly practices across different sectors
- Engage schools, corporate partners, community organisations and other stakeholders
- Manage programme planning, activity logistics, implementation, evaluation and related administration
- Support partnership development and programme growth
Requirements
- Have a strong passion to drive UNICEF’s Child-Friendly City initiative and values align with UNICEF’s vision
- Registered Social Worker (RSW) qualification preferred
- Candidates without an RSW qualification should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in children, youth and family services. Candidates with more experience would be considered for the Senior Officer or Assistant Manager position.
- Proven experience in programme delivery, workshop facilitation or activity management
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and coordination skills
- Well-organized, responsible and able to work independently and collaboratively
- Passionate about advancing the well-being and rights of children, young people and families
