Established in 1992, Sowers Action is a non-religious, non-political and non-profit-making charitable organization in Hong Kong, committed to promoting educational development and supporting livelihood needs, including school construction, student sponsorship, teacher training, children’s home operation and community development, to help disadvantaged groups around the world.
We are looking for suitable candidate to serve with us for the needy communities.
Chief Executive Officer
Responsibilities:
- Lead the organization in alignment with its mission, vision, and values
- Assist the Board of Directors in managing the Hong Kong, Mainland China and Nepal offices
- Oversee the strategic planning, operations and fundraising of the organization
- Foster strong relationships with members, volunteers, donors and stakeholders through effective communication and impactful programs.
- Ensure efficient operations, financial sustainability, and compliance with organizational policies and regulations, while aligning with the Board’s directives
- Work closely with volunteers and staff to secure funding through grants, partnerships, and innovative fundraising initiatives, such as fundraising events and donor campaigns
Requirement:
- Degree holder or above
- At least ten years of experience in administrative management and senior leadership, preferably in NGO or charitable sector
- Exceptional management skills, with the ability to work independently, stay organized, and thrive under pressure
- A commitment to the Association’s mission, passionate, self-motivated and willingness to travel to underprivileged areas in Mainland or overseas as required
- Demonstrated experience in marketing and fundraising, including grant writing and donor engagement
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and good in Chinese word processing
- Good command in written and spoken Chinese (including Putonghua) and English
