Jockey Club Multicultural Carer Support Network
Social Work Assistant
Responsibilities:
－To engage, recruit and provide direct services to ethnic minority elderly carers including casework, groups and programmes.
－To develop promotional strategies for introducing the project to larger clients and stakeholders.
－To provide need assessment, guidance and referral services to service users.
－To handle drop-in services and general enquiries.
－To build up social networks with service users and volunteers.
Requirements:
－Holder of Associate Degree/ Higher Diploma or above in Social Work.
－Recognized by Hong Kong’s Social Workers Registration Board for registration Registered Social Worker.
－Fluent in spoken English and Cantonese as well as precise and concise in English and Chinese writing.
－Computer literate with knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
－Passionate in serving ethnic minority community.
－Caring and patient with good communication skills.
－Mature and able to work under pressure.
－Willingness to work in multi-districts.
－Employee should have not been convicted of any sexual offences, in Hong Kong or elsewhere, as specified in the Sexual Conviction Record Check Scheme.
