The “HKCSS Most Impactful Small and Medium-sized Non-subvented NGO Award 2019” (Click here for more details) will be held to praise impactful social service organizations and those with high potential in development. Meanwhile, it also aims at expanding the network and accumulating human resources for agencies to promote organization development. Standing committees of the Council, business sector and members of foundations will be invited to be adjudicators in 3-round adjudication process of the Award Scheme and eventually ten agencies will be selected and awarded with prizes as an encouragement. Bridging Between Social Research and Campaign - Engaging Supporters in Participatory Research and Campaigning Action Introduction Engaging in social research becomes increasingly vital for contemporary NGOs looking for initiating and promoting social policy changes. Best research practices allow more effective communication, bringing influences on the policy realms and different communities, and that involves both science and ‘art’ of research practices. To have more flexibility, volunteers such as students and experts of different fields can be involved in research as well as being supporters in campaigning. Appilication of “SPACES co-working workstation scheme” Phase II
The second phase application of “SPACES co-working workstation scheme” is now opened. Sponsored by the Pioneer and Gaw Capital, the scheme supports social enterprises, organizations and early start-ups to rent co-working workstations of the SPACES at a discounted rate. The co-working space is located at 11-12/F, 133 Wai Yip Street, Kwun Tong. There will be 22 workstations offered by the scheme at no more than 50% of the market rent. In addition to the rental concession, various incubation services, such as training sessions, free business consultation and incubation support, will be provided to support network building and ideas sharing among tenants.
