Silver Volunteering Programme aims to encourage Hong Kong retirees to engage in community service through the formation of self-help groups. Every retired Hong Kong resident is welcome to form your own group and submit community service project ideas according to your interested service categories and target beneficiaries. Selected projects will be awarded grants of maximum HK$20,000 per group to implement the proposed community service project. If your team has not yet come up with a project plan, you may indicate your interested target beneficiaries and/ or service categories for our reference to provide suggestions. Launched in 2012, the HSBC Hong Kong Community Partnership Programme supports local community projects organised by registered charities, voluntary agencies or schools.  In 2018, HKD18 million is allocated for supporting 50 projects under HSBC Hong Kong Community Partnership Programme.  The programme is supported by the Home Affairs Department, the Social Welfare Department and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service.
